More information about the exhibition
For the second time the “Future Generation Art Prize@Venice” presented the shortlisted artists for the Future Generation Art Prize at La Biennale di Venezia. The 21 independent artists’ statements included among others the Winner of the Main Prize, British artist Lynette Yiadom-Boakye and the 5 winners of the Special Prize: Jonathas de Andrade (Brazil), Micol Assael (Italy), Ahmet Ögüt (Turkey), Rayyane Tabet (Lebanon), and Marwa Arsanios (Lebanon).
The exhibition offered a rich scope of artistic positions, mapping and discovering groundbreaking and future tendencies of a new generation of artists. Confronted with the context of the late 15th century palazzo Polignac, this new generation of artists took up the challenge to engage in a dialogue with the impressing palazzo, mainly presenting new works.
