An evening with Zhanna Kadyrova at Zbirka Bookstore as part of the book presentation
On 20 October, PinchukArtCentre invites you to Zbirka Bookstore for an informal presentation of a book dedicated to the work of internationally renowned Ukrainian artist Zhanna Kadyrova and the opening of a temporary pop-up exhibition.
Created in collaboration between the artist, PinchukArtCentre, and the German art institution Kunstverein Hannover, the book explores more than two decades of Zhanna Kadyrova’s artistic practice — from her early works to projects developed since the start of the full-scale invasion. The publication brings together critical essays by international contributors, personal reflections by the artist, and diverse perspectives on her work, offering insight into how her artistic language and the themes she explores have evolved over time.
During the informal presentation, Zhanna Kadyrova and Daria Shevtsova, curator and researcher at PinchukArtCentre and author of one of the essays in the monograph, will discuss the making of the book and the artist’s key works. A special highlight of the evening will be a temporary pop-up exhibition featuring one of Kadyrova’s works discussed in the book.
The event will offer an opportunity to discover more about the artist’s practice, see her work in the bookstore space, and engage in conversation in an informal atmosphere.
