Call for Applications: Online Intensive for Art Teachers

We invite you to the 20th online intensive for primary and secondary school art teachers, organised by PinchukArtCentre and the Foundation for the Development and Support of Young Art in Ukraine by Slava Frolova.

Participation is free. Applications are open until October 27 (inclusive):

50 participants from across Ukraine will be selected.

• How can you engage children with art and make lessons even more exciting?
• How can contemporary art help children better understand themselves and the world around them?
• How does creativity become a source of support and a space for self-expression?

Throughout the intensive, we will discuss the power of free play, new media in art, and working with children with intellectual disabilities. Teachers will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of contemporary art, receive psychological support, and find inspiration for introducing new ideas and approaches.

Speakers:

• Slava Frolova — founder of the Foundation for the Development and Support of Young Art in Ukraine, creator of the cultural and social project “Art Picnic” and the cultural programme “WallFall.”
• Olha Shyshlova — Deputy Art Director and Head of Programmes at PinchukArtCentre, psychologist, art therapist, and board member of the Charitable Foundation “Association of Parents of Children with Autism.”
• Svitlana Dribas — PhD in Psychology, author of educational programmes for educators, trainer, and psychologist.
• Yarema Malashchuk — laureate of the main and special prize of PinchukArtCentre Prize 2020 and 2018, Grand Prix of the MUKhI Prize, and the VISIO Young Talent Acquisition Prize. Since 2016, he has collaborated with Roman Khimei at the intersection of visual art and cinema.
• Ksenia Malykh — curator, contemporary art researcher, and Programme Director of Promprylad Art Center.
• Anton Saienko — artist working with native media, combining painting, installation, photography, performance, and land art.
• Alevtina Kakhidze — artist, performer, curator, educator, and researcher.
• Lora Litkovska — art educator who believes in the healing power of creative practices and self-expression as therapy, artist, and singer.
