"Intuitive Collage" Workshop — DIY Program

On Wednesday, July 1 at 18:30, we invite you to a workshop as part of our DIY program. Together with visual artist Valeriia Vertynska, we will be creating works using the intuitive collage technique.

Intuitive collage is an opportunity to slow down, disconnect from the daily rush, and allow yourself to create without any expectations of the final result. There are no right or wrong decisions here — what matters most is the process of searching, combining, and discovering unexpected connections between images.

Without a prior plan or sketch, we will search for images, colors, and textures that resonate with us at this very moment. Flipping through magazines and printed publications, participants will create collages, trusting their intuition and personal associations.

If desired, participants are welcome to bring their own materials for the collage — photographs, postcards, clippings, pressed flowers, or any other memorable trinkets they would like to integrate into their work.

The event will take place on the 5th floor in the Educational Space of the PinchukArtCentre. Admission is free. The number of seats is limited, and prior registration is required.

About the Artist:

Valeriia Vertynska is a visual artist, cinematographer, and documentary filmmaker. In her projects, she explores themes of human experience, the interconnectedness between humans and nature, and the consequences of war. Alongside film and photography (where she often employs the double exposure technique), she develops a practice in analog collage. She conducts original workshops, helping participants use collage as a simple tool for self-reflection and creative recharging. She lives and works in Kyiv.

About the Program:

The DIY Program* is a platform for turning ideas into reality, where people from diverse backgrounds share what matters to them, and the art center team helps bring these ideas to life. It is a space for experimentation and collective creativity, where you can make things with your own hands and meet people with shared interests.
