“Summer School” for Children Aged 6–9

We invite children aged 6–9 to explore the world of art and bring their boldest ideas to life during the three-day course In the World of Fantastic Creatures with artist Sasha Lunova.

Dates: July 15–17

The course will take place from Wednesday to Friday in the Education Room on the 5th floor of PinchukArtCentre.

Start time: 12:15 PM
Duration: 1.5 hours per session

Please note that participation in the course requires attendance at all three sessions.

Participation is free of charge. Registration is required.

This course is an exciting three-day journey into the world of children’s imagination, where fears are transformed into creativity and the boldest ideas take shape through artistic expression.

In the World of Fantastic Creatures will help children develop imaginative thinking, experiment with different materials, and discover how art and play can become tools for transforming fears into creative inspiration.

During the course, participants will:

– explore characters from fairy tales, myths, and favourite cartoons
– learn how professional artists invent and develop their own characters
– create a unique description and sketch of an original character
– experiment with form and volume while developing their creature
– become designers by decorating their characters and adding distinctive details

About the artist and instructor

Sasha Lunova is an artist from Mykolaiv. Her practice exists between naïve art, primitivism, and art brut. Her work focuses on the relationships between people and their surroundings.
