"Summer School" for Children and Teens Ages 10–14 — Course 3

We invite children and teens ages 10–14 to explore the world of art and bring their boldest ideas to life in a three-day course, “Material and Space: Introduction to Installation,” led by artist Daria Molokoiedova.

Dates: July 1–3 Classes will take place Wednesday through Friday in the education room on the 5th floor of PinchukArtCentre. Start time: 12:15 PM. Each session lasts 1.5 hours. Please note that each course requires attendance at all three sessions. Participation is free. Registration is required.

What does “installation” mean in contemporary art, and how do you create an artistic space? Over three days, participants will explore these questions and discover how colour, form, and materials can transform the perception of an environment and create an atmosphere you can actually “enter.”

The course combines theoretical introduction to art with hands-on practice, developing spatial awareness, collaboration skills, and imaginative thinking. As part of “Material and Space: Introduction to Installation,” children and teens will: — explore key examples of installations and complete interactive exercises on the perception of form and colour — realise a shared project: a spatial installation — the “blue room” — reflect on and share their experience and perceptions with one another
