Workshop “Shrink Art” — DIY Program
On Thursday, May 28 at 18:30, we invite you to a DIY workshop with handmade artist Hanna Dikhtiarenko, where we will explore the technique of shrink art — working with a special type of plastic that changes, shrinks, and transforms into small objects when exposed to heat.
During the workshop, we will draw, cut out shapes, observe the material as it transforms through heating, and assemble final pieces such as keychains, pendants, or small accessories. The workshop is about the pleasure of making things by hand, attention to detail, and spending a few hours immersed in a creative process together with others.
The workshop is open to adults, regardless of previous experience.
The event will take place on the 5th floor in the education space of PinchukArtCentre. Participation is free, but registration is required as places are limited.
Hanna Dikhtiarenko is a handmade artist working across a variety of creative practices, including candle making, plaster art, diorama creation, cyanotype printing, shrink art, collage, and linocut printmaking.
DIY Program is a platform for realizing ideas, where people with different backgrounds share what matters to them, and the art center team helps bring these ideas to life. It is a space for experimentation and collective creativity, where people can make things with their own hands and meet others with shared interests.
