On Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at 19:00, PinchukArtCentre invites on a special lecture “Resonating spaces. Polish sound art” by Daniel Muzyczuk, art critic, curator at the Museum of Art in Lodz. The lecture will be held in the context of Transfer program. It will take place on the 6th floor at the SkyArtCafe’s video-lounge.   

Daniel Muzyczuk will present contemporary practices demonstrating their historical background. The listeners will be introduced to the Polish sound art starting from the 60s through to present day. Muzyczuk have recently opened “Sounding the Body Electric” show, revealing some of the aspects of early sound art. During the lecture, he will connect the findings he made within the show with works of Konrad Smolenski, Anna Zaradny and others.  

Transfer is an exchange programme to promote and support new generation of Ukrainian artists abroad and to offer a dynamic view on young Polish art in Ukraine. This is a common project of the PinchukArtCentre and the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle (Warsaw, Poland).

The Final discussion in the framework of Transfer will take place on September 26 at 19:00.

The lecture programme is supported by the Polish Institute in Kyiv.
