Walking-Talking educational program for 11-12 year olds

On Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 14:00, the PinchukArtCentre invites 11-12 year old art lovers to the Walking–Talking session, entitled “Creation of History”. Young event participants will reflect about history’s role in our life, about the reasons to learn it, about dates and specifics of living through historic moments. 

The event will start at 14:00 in the reception area on the 2nd floor of the art centre and will be hosted by culture expert Liudmyla Bulanova-Duvalko.

Maximum number of children in the group is 10. Registration is mandatory.

Educational game “Art Detectives” for 9-10 year olds

On Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 15:00 the PinchukArtCentre will hold the first round of “Art Detectives”. The event participants will learn about the concept of a museum as an institution, its history and organization system. The event will take place on the 5th floor of the art center in the Educational room.

Participation is free. Advanced registration is obligatory. Group size is limited to 10 participants.

The game will consist of six rounds which can be attended either on a regular or come-when-you -can basis. The game participants will be able to better understand what museum is and how it operates, what art is and the diversity of it, and they also will learn about famous art crimes. During the game rounds children will be holding art investigations full of fascinating exhibition tours and informative lectures.

June 7: Mysterious art crimes: Who Stole the Mona Lisa?

June 14: Art – what is it?

June 21: Artist – who is it?

July 5: Open investigation – exhibition tour for parents.

 

Family Sundays – Art and Education class for children aged 7 through 9

On Sunday, June 1, at 12:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites children aged 7 to 9 years to a Family Sunday class on Live Composition, where children will learn about the basics of composition and characteristics.

Analysing the works of Zhanna Kadyrova and Martin Kobe, young visitors will learn what is linearperspective, and through the example of Gregory Crewdson’s photo children will figure out how an internal dialogue between the artworks is built.

The event starts at 12:00 on the 5th floor of the art centre, in the Educational Room and will be hosted by the PinchukArtCentre’s guide Olga Shyshlova and artist Kateryna Vronska. 

Meanwhile, parents can join one of the regular exhibition tours led by qualified PinchukArtCentre guides. 

Maximum number of children in the group is 20. Registration is mandatory.
