Color Bubbles (course for 4-5 years old): Colors: colorful world around us
Saturday, March 7, at 12:00 pm

On Saturday, March 7, at 12:00 pm there will be the first session of the Color Bubbles “Colors: colorful world around us.” During the event, young participants will learn to distinguish and classify color types: light/dark, warm/cold, bright/dull, and etc. The event will take place on the 5thfloor of the art centre, in the Educational Room.

Advanced registration is obligatory. Group size is limited to 10 participants.

Art Detectives (course for 9-10 years old): Meet the Detective. “What is museum” discussion and tour of the exhibition
Saturday, March 7, at 15:00 

On Saturday, March 7, at 15:00  the PinchukArtCentre invites kids to the “Art Detectives” session entitled “Meet the Detective. “What is museum” discussion and tour of the exhibition”.  The event participants will learn about the concept of a museum as an institution, its history and organization system. The event will take place on the 5th floor of the art center in the Educational room.

The classes will be held by Anna Honchar and Lora Ishchenko, PinchukArtCentre guides.

Walking-Talking (class for 11-12 year-olds): Art: Reality or Fiction
Saturday, March 7, at 14:00

 On Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 14:00, the PinchukArtCentre invites 11-12 year-old art lovers to the Walking–Talking class entitled “Art: Reality or Fiction.” During a tour of the Future Generation Art Prize 2014 exhibition, the event participants will try to find boundaries between reality, everyday routine and new form of "fantasy", which may happen to be a manifestation of artist's vision, an expression or a metaphor.

The PinchukArtCentre tour guide Lora Ischenko will host the eventShe will meet children at 14:00 on the 2nd floor at the information desk.
Admission is free. Registration is mandatory. Maximum number of children in the group is 10.

Family Sundays (for 7-9 year olds): Session dedicated to Women’s Day
Sunday, March 8, at 12:00

On Sunday, March 8, at 12:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites children aged 7 to 9 years to a Family Sunday session dedicated to Women’s Day. Young participants will view the works presented at the exhibition Future Generation Art Prize, will talk about the Women’s Day, and then discuss the difference between the image of women in the classical and contemporary art. In the creative part of the session children will create surprise for their beloved mothers.

The event starts at 12:00 on the 5th floor of the art centre, in the Educational Room and will be hosted by the PinchukArtCentre’s guides Olga Shyshlova and Lera Karpan.
Participation is free of charge. Registration is mandatory. Maximum number of children in the group is 20.

Theme Tour “Can ideology be localized in the city space?”
Sunday, March 8, at 19:00

On Sunday, March 8, at 19:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites public to a theme tour “Can ideology be localized in the city space?” in which participants will try to isolate the principles necessary for the formation of future values of local communities, residents and citizens of post-colonial countries. Having viewed the Future Generation Art Prize exhibition, the visitors will discuss about how to avoid manipulation of mass consciousness through representation of the past, about collective memory and the role of myths and symbols in formation of collective memory.

The event starts at 19:00 on the 2nd floor of the art centre, reception area. The tour will be guided by the PinchukArtCentre’s guide Valeria Karpan.

Theme tours can be arranged on request for schools and universities.

 

Registered event attendees will have priority entry to the art centre without queuing.
