PinchukArtCentre invites 9-10 year olds to participate in an educational game “Art Detectives”

29 March 2016

PinchukArtCentre announces admission to participate in the educational program "Art detective"created by a team of PinchukArtCentre for children 9-10 years. This exciting detective game tutorial will introduce young visitors and their parents to the art centre and world of contemporary art, its most famous representatives, works and ideas. Classes will be held on Saturdays from April 2 to April 16, 2016.

"Art detectives" is a game that goes on at home after completing studies, promotes closer fellowship of family members, encourages parents to solving problems together with children and improves understanding between different generations.

The course will consist of seven sessions that will enable participants to understand better what a museum is and how it functions, what art is and how it happens, as well as learn about the most notorious crimes in the sphere of art. During the course children will take part in art investigations which will be supplemented by fascinating excursions, educational lecturers and homework for the whole family.

On Saturday, April 2, 2015, at 15:00 the PinchukArtCentre will hold the first round of “Art Detectives”. The event participants will learn about the concept of a museum as an institution, its history and organization system. The event will take place on the 5th floor of the art center in the Educational room.

The classes will be held by Anna Honchar and Lora Ishchenko, PinchukArtCentre guides.

Participation is free. Advanced registration is obligatory. Group size is limited to 16 participants.
