PinchukArtCentre’s Teachers’ Tuesdays

PinchukArtCentre’s Laboratory for Teachers suggests a set of practical and theoretical activities providing an exploration of physical, intellectual and emotional aspects of contemporary art shown at PinchukArtCentre. Bringing the education team and teachers together, PinchukArtCentre provides a bridge between the classroom and the gallery on a regular basis in order to identify strategies for engaging children in art.

Teacher’s Tuesdays are held monthly on Tuesdays at 14:00.

Vision Techniques

  • course
  • for high school students
  • saturday at 13:00

The purpose of the program - to teach students to create their own interpretations of the works of art, critically assess them, to understand their relationship with the involved subjects, to be able to carry out independent research, work with theory and historical data, to initiate a discussion.

The principle of studying assumes contextual research: not chronological study of the history of art, but research on related to the specific object of art themes during each class. The students are active participants in the discussion process, researchers and critics. Simultaneity of three important dialogues is very crucial: with classmates, with their own thoughts and experiences, with works of art. Students fill up the knowledge base and develop communication skills. For the analysis of art objects in the exhibition, a multidisciplinary approach is provided: the use of historical data, visual analysis and evaluation, comparison of students' experience with what they see on display, study of the topic by themselves.
