Since the beginning of the 90’s, Vik Muniz has been presented his works all around the world in important institutions, museum, Foundation, Art Centre, private galleries and collections.
In 2007 Vik Muniz has exhibited his portraits at the Baltic, Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead, UK. His solo-exhibition «Reflex» has been presented at P.S.1 Moma in New York, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Montréal, Canada, at the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego, CA, and at Seattle Art Museum in Seattle, USA.
In 2006 his work has been presented a.o other places at the Koyanagi Gallery in Tokyo, Japan, at the Xyppas Gallery, Paris and Athena, at the Espaço Cultural Contemporaneo Venancio, Brasilia, Brazil and at the Irish Museum of Contemporary Art in Dublin, Ireland.
In 2001 Vik Muniz represented the Brazil at the 49th Venice Biennial.
Vik Muniz has participated as well to several important group-exhibitions such as Defining Moments in Photography, 1967-2007, Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and TRANSactions Contemporary Latin American and Latino Art La Jolla, CA in 2007. Busy going Crazy: Collection Syvio Perlstein- at La Maison Rouge. Foundation Antoine de Galbert, Paris, Into Me/Out of Me, P.S.1 Moma, New York In 2006.
