The PinchukArtCentre presents "Tailings Dam", a solo exhibition by Daniil Revkovskiy and Andriy Rachinskiy as a part of PAC UA. It is PinchukArtCentre's programme aimed at commissioning new works by Ukrainian artists by investing in creation and providing curatorial and institutional support.

«Remember Yesterday» Group exhibition by Ukrainian artists

The PinchukArtCentre presents "Remember Yesterday", a group exhibition of Ukrainian artists. This exhibition is the first in a new series of shows that draw from the PinchukArtCentre's Ukrainian art collection. They will combine works from the collection, which has a main focus on the 90ties and early 2000, with new productions and or loans of recent work.

"Stone Hits Stone" A solo exhibition by Nikita Kadan

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents "Stone Hits Stone" by Nikita Kadan, made in the context of the PinchukArtCentre's Research Platform. His first major solo exhibition in Ukraine presents both new produced and existing works reflecting on Ukrainian history, political violence, national historical heritage, avant-garde and Soviet utopia. This exhibition deals with present day challenges in its inextricable connection with the past, using history to enlighten the present and imagine the future.

Dot, line, possibilities

Since 2016, the PinchukArtCentre has been inviting artists with special developmental needs (autism, Down syndrome, mental retardation) to join the "Workshop of Possibilities". There, in collaboration with Katya Buchatska, David Chichkan, Nikita Kadan and Anna Scherbyna, a four-year-long creative journey began.

Exhibition of the 20 Artists Shortlisted for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2020

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents an exhibition of the 20 artists shortlisted for the sixth edition PinchukArtCentre Prize, a nationwide prize for Ukrainian artists aged 35 or younger. Featuring new and recent works, the show brings together a representative selection of artists and artist collectives from all over Ukraine including artists living abroad.

The Forbidden Image

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents “The Forbidden Image”, a two-chapter project in the framework of the PinchukArtCentre’s Research Platform. Referring to the hit of the Swedish singer-emigrant Ardis in 1994, the international exhibition «Ain't nobody's business» activates voices striving for freedom of self-determination. The collective position of artists provokes a public debate about the controversial relationship between regulatory power and personality. How does our sexuality show itself in modern realities? And does its detection depend on ourselves?

A Space of One's Own

The Research Platform of the PinchukArtCentre presents a group exhibition “A Space of One’s Own”, which offers one possible perspective on the history of Ukrainian art and the place of women in it by emphasizing the preeminent art phenomena and taking into account the complex specificity of the Ukrainian sociopolitical context. With the aim to generate a living archive of Ukrainian contemporary art from the early 1980s to present, the PinchukArtCentre’s Research Platform visualizes the results of its work through a regular exhibition practice.

Exhibition of shortlisted artists for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2018

A group show of 20 artists nominated for the 5th edition of the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2018, a nationwide prize in contemporary art for young Ukrainian artists up to 35. The shortlist has been formed by the Selection Committee based on the results of the selection from more than 650 applications submitted by young Ukrainian artist from all regions of Ukraine and foreign countries. Each work is especially produced for the exhibition and forms an independent artistic statement.

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the 1st solo exhibition in Eastern Europe by Dineo Seshee Bopape (South Africa), the Main Prize Winner of the 4th edition of the Future Generation Art Prize. The show includes a major soil installation specially produced for the PinchukArtCentre.

Research platform: Anonymous Society

The exhibition explores the period of anomie that Ukrainian society was plunged into after the collapse of the Soviet Union (1991), and that it languishes in to this day. The term “anomie,” coined by the French sociologist Émile Durkheim, describes a crisis-ridden transition period societies land in after political turmoil and changes in values when “the old gods are aging or are already dead, and others are not yet born.”

Research platform: Anna Zvyagintseva. Misplaced Touches in the context of РАС-UA

PAC-UA presents the 6th project - a solo exhibition by Anna Zvyagintseva. “Misplaced Touches” is based on the idea of a trail, a trace, unconsciously following somebody else’s path, and paths that emerge from our imperceptible touches. In her works, the artist often makes manifest imperceptible, impalpable facets of our lives, showcasing their fragility and documenting elusive intangible moments.

The exhibition “Fedir Tetyanych. Canon Fripulia” is focused on one of the sides of the multifaceted creative work of artist Fedir Tetyanych whose artistic practice encompassed painting, drawing, sculpture, text, performance etc.

Research platform: Motherland on Fire. Intervention by Concrete Dates Collective

The exhibition “Motherland on Fire” offers one of views on the history of the Ukrainian society in the 1990s, narrated through a prism of selected works from the PinchukArtCentre collection. The title of the exhibition alludes to the film by Oleksandr Dovzhenko “Ukraine in Flames” which tells about the bloodshed that took place on the Ukrainian territory during World War II. However, the works presented in the exhibition do not relate in any way to military operations or the real frontline.

Future Generation Art Prize @ Venice 2017

PinchukArtCentre and Victor Pinchuk Foundation will present an exhibition at the Biennale Arte 2017 of the work of 21 young artists from 16 different countries, shortlisted for the 4th edition of The Future Generation Art Prize, the global art prize for artists up to 35. 

The exhibition is an official Collateral Event of the 57th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. It will be on view in the spectacular setting of the Palazzo Contarini Polignac from 12 May to 13 August 2017.

Jan Fabre. Tribute to Belgian Congo (2010-2013)

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the first solo show in Eastern Europe by the Belgian artist Jan Fabre. With this two-chapter exhibition Fabre continues elaborating his critical reflections on the Belgium’s colonial past, a theme that appeared in his oeuvre in 2002 when he used millions of beetle wings to created a monumental ceiling painting “Heaven of Delight” for the Royal Palace of Belgium in Brussels.

“Biography”, an exhibition by Open Group in the context of PAC-UA Re-Consideration

The PinchukArtCentre presents the second “PAC-UA Re-consideration” project - an exhibition by Open Group, an artistic group formed by five young Ukrainian artists Yuriy Biley, Anton Varga, Pavlo Kovach, Yevgen Samborsky, and Stanislav Turina. “Biography” is a result of collaboration of the Open Group with Lviv-based artist Yuriy Sokolov invited to join a group to explore collaboratively the notion of biography today. The show researches the idea of self-representation, it looks into how this notion is being transformed today, when the image of a person is created by the digital media around him/her.

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the first solo exhibition of Jake & Dinos Chapman in Ukraine titled “Chicken”. At the centre of the exhibition stands the major new installation entitled, The Sum of all Evil (2013) that forms a synthesized reflection upon the central themes such as the Holocaust, violence, and death. Alongside this, the exhibition will include a number of iconic works by the Chapman brothers whose sharp subversive humour and unbridled aggression provokes controversy and questions moral contemporary taboos.

Solo exhibition by Tony Oursler "agentic iced etcetera"

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the first major solo exhibition by Tony Oursler in Eastern Europe entitled “agentic iced etcetera”. The exhibition combines specially produced new works, including a Ukrainian speaking installation, with some of the most iconic pieces of the artist. Themes within the exhibition include chance in everyday life, endorphin fuelled relationships, and the tendency for magical thinking to name a few.  The human face and the way it simultaneously communicates and masks emotions is also a key theme in Oursler’s work.

It is based on his recent performance in Manhattan, New York City when the artist went to the very heart of America on a mission, based on the history and mythology of the island.

PinchukArtCentre and the Victor Pinchuk Foundation have the honor to present the first solo exhibition by Olafur Eliasson in Eastern Europe. Steppes of Dreamers at the 52nd Venice Biennale

“Requiem”. Damien Hirst

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) is pleased to announce Requiem, a major retrospective of over 100 works dating from 1990 to 2008, by Damien Hirst. Requiem opens on 25th April and continues through 20th September 2009. Since the start of his career, Hirst has pushed the boundaries of art and what it means to be an artist. Requiem bears witness to a bold new direction in his work by showing for the first time a series of skull paintings he created between 2006 and 2008. In works such as Floating Skull, 2006, The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth, 2008 and Men Shall Know Nothing, 2008, Hirst returns to the solitary practice of painting and confronts, in very personal terms, the darkness that lies at the heart of human nature and experience.
