The PinchukArtCentre presents "Remember Yesterday", a group exhibition of Ukrainian artists. This exhibition is the first in a new series of shows that draw from the PinchukArtCentre's Ukrainian art collection. The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the 1st solo exhibition in Eastern Europe by Dineo Seshee Bopape (South Africa), the Main Prize Winner of the 4th edition of the Future Generation Art Prize. The show includes a major soil installation specially produced for the PinchukArtCentre.
The exhibition explores the period of anomie that Ukrainian society was plunged into after the collapse of the Soviet Union (1991), and that it languishes in to this day. The term “anomie,” coined by the French sociologist Émile Durkheim, describes a crisis-ridden transition period societies land in after political turmoil and changes in values when “the old gods are aging or are already dead, and others are not yet born.”
PAC-UA presents the 6th project - a solo exhibition by Anna Zvyagintseva. “Misplaced Touches” is based on the idea of a trail, a trace, unconsciously following somebody else’s path, and paths that emerge from our imperceptible touches. In her works, the artist often makes manifest imperceptible, impalpable facets of our lives, showcasing their fragility and documenting elusive intangible moments.
The PinchukArtCentre is proud to present “Fragile State” - a major international group exhibition with 10 leading artists including Marina Abramovic, Jan Fabre, Urs Fischer, Douglas Gordon, Damien Hirst, Carlos Motta, Oscar Murillo, Santiago Sierra, Barthelemy Toguo and Ai Weiwei.
The exhibition “Fedir Tetyanych. Canon Fripulia” is focused on one of the sides of the multifaceted creative work of artist Fedir Tetyanych whose artistic practice encompassed painting, drawing, sculpture, text, performance etc.
The exhibition “Motherland on Fire” offers one of views on the history of the Ukrainian society in the 1990s, narrated through a prism of selected works from the PinchukArtCentre collection. The title of the exhibition alludes to the film by Oleksandr Dovzhenko “Ukraine in Flames” which tells about the bloodshed that took place on the Ukrainian territory during World War II. However, the works presented in the exhibition do not relate in any way to military operations or the real frontline.
PAC-UA Re-consideration presents the 5th project - a group exhibition including young artists Yulia Golub, Zina Isupova, Alina Kleytman, Aleksandr Kutovoy, Anna Rotayenko, Dmitry Starusyev. “Versus” is a result of a long-term cooperation of the invited curator Sergey Bratkov with the new generation of artists, students of The Rodchenko Art School (Moscow).

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the first solo show in Eastern Europe by the Belgian artist Jan Fabre. With this two-chapter exhibition Fabre continues elaborating his critical reflections on the Belgium’s colonial past, a theme that appeared in his oeuvre in 2002 when he used millions of beetle wings to created a monumental ceiling painting “Heaven of Delight” for the Royal Palace of Belgium in Brussels.
The PinchukArtCentre presents the second “PAC-UA Re-consideration” project - an exhibition by Open Group, an artistic group formed by five young Ukrainian artists Yuriy Biley, Anton Varga, Pavlo Kovach, Yevgen Samborsky, and Stanislav Turina. “Biography” is a result of collaboration of the Open Group with Lviv-based artist Yuriy Sokolov invited to join a group to explore collaboratively the notion of biography today. The show researches the idea of self-representation, it looks into how this notion is being transformed today, when the image of a person is created by the digital media around him/her.

The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the first solo exhibition of Jake & Dinos Chapman in Ukraine titled “Chicken”. At the centre of the exhibition stands the major new installation entitled, The Sum of all Evil (2013) that forms a synthesized reflection upon the central themes such as the Holocaust, violence, and death. Alongside this, the exhibition will include a number of iconic works by the Chapman brothers whose sharp subversive humour and unbridled aggression provokes controversy and questions moral contemporary taboos.
The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the first major solo exhibition by Tony Oursler in Eastern Europe entitled “agentic iced etcetera”. The exhibition combines specially produced new works, including a Ukrainian speaking installation, with some of the most iconic pieces of the artist. Themes within the exhibition include chance in everyday life, endorphin fuelled relationships, and the tendency for magical thinking to name a few. The human face and the way it simultaneously communicates and masks emotions is also a key theme in Oursler’s work.
The PinchukArtCentre presents the 8th PAC-UA project – an exhibition by Ukrainian artist Alexey Salmanov. “Forest Means Cheaper” is a new work by Salmanov especially created for the PinchukArtCentre. It is based on his recent performance in Manhattan, New York City when the artist went to the very heart of America on a mission, based on the history and mythology of the island.
The exhibition focuses on the presentation of newly produced works giving a chance for nominated artists to show off their most advanced position. It offers a remarkable view on the new tendencies and artistic practices of the next generation of artists.

“Crowd” is a new series of works by Kadyrova especially created for the PinchukArtCentre. It is composed of glass panels containing collages made of newspapers clips. She uses newspapers from all over the world – Ukraine, Poland, Austria, China, India etc. – issued in the period from January to June 2012. It is the beginning of an ongoing project, continuing till December 2012
Makov’s solo exhibition brings together his strategy of collecting and repeating, his interest in the memory, and fascination with gardens. It becomes a show about identity and belief which is captured in little figures, forms, and structures of the unique prints representing a cross, garden, tower, and fingerprints

The PinchukArtCentre has the honour to present an exhibition of the 21 artists shortlisted for the Future Generation Art Prize 2010. The group show features works submitted for the competition as well as brand new works specially made for the show.
The PinchukArtCentre has the honour to present the solo exhibition of Takashi Murakami, one of the Mentor artists of the Future Generation Art Prize. The show will be on display from October 30, 2010 till January 9, 2011.
The show displays the sparkling dialogue of various artistic approaches in the tension field between the two extremes of raw sexuality and a sublime transformation into transcendence.
During the Faith Matters exhibition, Subodh Gupta will present a series of his new sculptures and paintings. Project is dedicated to the shifts taking place in the national cultures in the context of the modern world’s life.
The PinchukArtCentre is presenting Ukraine, the first major solo exhibition of Sergey Bratkov in Ukraine. For this show, Bratkov has created series of new photographs and temporary sculptures. This will be presented along with never seen works made in the past ten years, highlighting the different stages of his oeuvre.
An exhibition of 20 shortlisted nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize. The exhibition was on display from 31 October to 20 December 2009. The 20 nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize, a nationwide prize in contemporary art for young Ukrainian artists up to 35 years old, had been shortlisted by an Expert Committee from 1100 applicants.

Exhibition Red Forest featured more than 40 selected works by seven seminal Ukrainian artists of 1990s: Serhiy Bratkov, Olexander Gnylytsky, Olexander Roitburd, Arsen Savadov and Georgy Senchenko, Vasyl Tsagolov, Illia Chichkan.
The PinchukArtCentre and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine are pleased to present artists Illya Chichkan (Ukraine) and Mihara Yasuhiro (Japan) in the exhibition Steppes of Dreamers - a major contribution to the 53rd Venice Biennale entitled, Making Worlds. The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) is pleased to announce Requiem, a major retrospective of over 100 works dating from 1990 to 2008, by Damien Hirst. Requiem opens on 25th April and continues through 20th September 2009. Since the start of his career, Hirst has pushed the boundaries of art and what it means to be an artist. Requiem bears witness to a bold new direction in his work by showing for the first time a series of skull paintings he created between 2006 and 2008. In works such as Floating Skull, 2006, The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth, 2008 and Men Shall Know Nothing, 2008, Hirst returns to the solitary practice of painting and confronts, in very personal terms, the darkness that lies at the heart of human nature and experience.
