GENERATIONS.UsA is the first exhibition that brings together in one place works of young artists from Ukraine (UA) and the United States of America (USA). Its main goal is to provide a general review of contemporary art in both countries, while focusing on the new and most interesting phenomena. Such exhibitions «provide young authors with the opportunity to compare themselves with others and find their own spot within the generation.
The countries are represented by 12 Ukrainian artists (including two art duos): Stanislav Volyazlovsky, Kseniya Gnylytska and Lada Nakonechna, Mykyta Kadan, Zhanna Kadyrova, Volodymyr Kuznetsov, Olena Polyashchenko, Mykola Ridny, Bella Logacheva, Oleksander Semenov, Lesya Khomenko, Masha Shubina; and 8 Americans: Dzine, Faile, Kozyndan, Shepard Fairey, Naomi Fisher, Ryan McGinness, Ed Templeton, Swoon. They work in different art genres: paintings, graphics, sculpture photos, video, wall pictures and installations.
PinchukArtCentre presents “China China”, a major group exhibition including eleven Chinese artists of different generations, focusing on the tension between individuality and collective thinking. A subject, which not only defined Chinese history and continuously shapes contemporary society but equally gains importance in the West.
PinchukArtCentre continues the presentation of its collection showing Collection Platform 4: Emotion and Technology. The group exhibition includes 17 artists offering a selective view on two central and sometimes opposed notions in our lives: emotion and technology as they constantly define our perceptions of the world.
