On Sunday, April 14, 2013, at 19:30 the PinchukArtCentre invites to a reading of the play by a Ukrainian play writer Maksym Kurichkin Vodka, F...ing, and Television (2004). The event will be held under the literature program of the art centre, being the second happening dedicated to the readings of the contemporary drama. The program is intended to initiate a dialogue between art and literature, to demonstrate exhibits in literature context and to offer a special view of the art objects presented at the art centre.
The event will take place at the 4th floor in the space with the exhibition by Sergiy Bratkov The Good Buys the Evil. Due to a limited number of seats (40) registration in advance is a must.
Bratkov’s exhibition The Good Buys the Evil and Kurochkin’s play Vodka, F...ing, and Television deal with the topics of loneliness, alienation and anonymity of life in the big city that will reveal themselves during the reading of Kurochkin’s play in the space with works of Bratkov, creating a dialogue between visual art and the art of drama.
Play script readers: actors Dmytro Havrylov, Viacheslav Dudko, Anastsia Kasilova, Andriy Pavlenko. Director: Pavlo Yurov.
Reading is a version of a theatre show, which does not suppose to create a visual storyline of the piece, but is close to the textual performance. It is a theatre genre, where artists declaim at sight, intone and gesticulate, but do not give full-grown images, proposing scenic sketches of the roles.
The event will be conducted in collaboration with DramPortal.
