Theme Tour “Dialogue of Global and Local in Art Objects of Contemporary Artists”

On Saturday, July 13, at 17:00 PinchukArtCentre invites all visitors to join a Thematic Tour “Dialogue of Global and Local in Art Objects of Contemporary Artists”.

During the tour of exhibitions “China China” and “Collection Platform 4: Emotions and Technology”, visitors will find out how an art object reaches a “global” level, while maintaining the elements of the “local”.

The event starts at 17:00 on the 2nd floor of the art centre, reception area. The tour will be guided by art critic Asia Bazdyrieva.

Thematic tours can be arranged on request for schools and universities.

Family Sundays – Sunday art classes at the PinchukArtCentre

On Sunday, July 14, at 14:00 PinchukArtCentre invites all children aged 7 through 9 to a Family Sunday class Fairytales: Main Characters, where they will learn about traditional Chinese folklore figures and compare them with the well-known characters of the Ukrainian fairytales.

Analyzing the works of Ai Weiwei and Zhang Huan presented at the “China China” exhibition, young visitors will learn what modern fairytales and legends can be like. At the creative workshop “Fairytales in the Pocket” hosted by artist Kateryna Vronska young art centre visitors will be able to make three-dimensional figures of Chinese and Ukrainian fairytale characters.

Family Sunday starts at 14:00 on the 6th floor in the SkyArtCafe’s video-lounge.

Meanwhile, parents can join one of the regular exhibition tours led by qualified PinchukArtCentre guides.

Maximum number of children in the group is 20. Registration is mandatory.

Theme Tour Dichotomy “East-West” in Contemporary Art

On Sunday, July 14, at 17:00 PinchukArtCentre invites all visitors to join a Thematic Tour Dichotomy “East-West” in Contemporary Art.

Thematic tour participants will view and compare the works of the representatives of the eastern (exhibition "China China") and western ("Collection Platform 4: Emotion and technology") cultures, trying to answer a question on whether a traditional for humans distinction between East and West still exists, or on the contrary – it is no longer possible to talk about any categorical dichotomies in the context of international contemporary art scene.

The event starts at 17:00 on the 2nd floor of the art centre, reception area. The tour will be guided by Olga Kucheryk, the PinchukArtCentre’s tour guide.

Registered event attendees will have priority entry to the art centre without queuing. To register in advance and receive additional information, please use the contact information below:
