As part of its educational program, the PinchukArtCentre launches a series of educational events Color Bubbles for children aged 4-5 years. The program was created with a view to promote better understanding of the art language, to acquaint children with a variety of contemporary art practices, to develop aesthetic sense and encourage creativity in them.
Each course will consist of six sessions that are to be held on Saturdays from 12:00 to 13:30 and will be conducted by specialists of the PinchukArtCentre, as well as invited artists, educators and art critics. Activities will include theory, discussions, and practical master class where children will be able to try themselves as artists. In the first series of classes, through the example of the art works presented in the PinchukArtCentre children will learn about the concepts of color, emotion, time, associations, and etc.
On Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 12:00 pm there will be the first session of the Color Bubbles “Colors: colorful world around us.” During the event, young participants will view selected art objects presented at the art center, and learn to distinguish and classify color types: light/dark, warm/cold, bright/dull, and etc.
The event will take place on the 5th floor of the art centre, in the Educational Room.
