The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) and the Future Generation Art Prize are delighted to announce the launch of their profiles on Artsy, a platform to discover, learn about, and collect art, offering everyone with an Internet connection access to browse international exhibitions, museum collections, arts programs, and artwork listings from leading galleries and art fairs. Being integrated into a worldwide art network, the PinchukArtCentre and Future Generation Art Prize become even more open to the art community, presenting information in an innovative way and allowing study and enjoy presented artworks.
Artsy has built the largest online collection of modern and contemporary art, including over
100,000 artworks by 18,000+ artists from 1,500+ leading galleries and 200+ renowned museum and institutional partners from around the globe, including The British Museum, the Guggenheim Museum, Turner Contemporary, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., SFMOMA, and many more.
PinchukArtCentre is the largest and most dynamic private contemporary art centre in Central and Eastern Europe. As a project of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, it is dedicated to fostering artistic education, creation and appreciation in Ukraine. It provides a sustainable contribution to the cultural participation and emancipation of Ukrainian art and society. It also gives a significant contribution to the cultural dialogue between East and West, and between national identity and international challenge. Recent events have included personal exhibitions by Jeff Wall, Gary Hume, Olafur Eliasson, Candice Breitz, Damian Ortega, Sergey Bratkov, Subodh Gupta, Damien Hirst, Anish Kapoor, and others.
Launched by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation in 2009, the Future Generation Art Prize is open to all artists up to the age of 35 with the aim of acknowledging and giving long-term support to a future generation of artists from all over the world. The Prize is unique because of its global reach and highly democratic form of application via the Internet. The Future Generation Art Prize@Venice exhibitions presented 21 shortlisted artists for the Prize as part of the Collateral events of the Venice Biennale in 2011 and 2013.
