Starting from May 24, 2014, the PinchukArtCentre invites 4-5 year olds to participate in a new edition of the educational program Color Bubbles. The program is designed to promote better understanding of the art language, to acquaint children with a variety of contemporary art practices, to develop aesthetic sense and encourage creativity in them.
This time the program will consist of ten sessions conducted by specialists of the PinchukArtCentre, as well as invited artists, educators and art critics. Activities will include theory, discussions, and practical master class where children will be able to try themselves as artists. Through the example of the art works presented in the PinchukArtCentre children will learn about the concepts of color, true and imaginary, emotion, time and associations in art.
On Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 12:00 pm there will be the first session of the Color Bubbles “Colors: colorful world around us.” During the event, young participants will view hyper-realistic paintings by Marc Quinn entitled “The 5th season” with exotic flowers, fruits and berries. Following that they will learn to distinguish and classify color types: light/dark, warm/cold, bright/dull, and etc. The event will take place on the 5th floor of the art centre, in the Educational Room.
