From June 12, 2014, the PinchukArtCentre launches a new educational programme entitled “Imaginarium” for children aged 8-10 years. This entertaining educational game has been developed by the PinchukArtCentre team with a view to introduce young art centre visitors to the world of contemporary art, its famous representatives, works and ideas.
The programme course consists of five sessions and can be attended either regularly or on a whenever-you-can basis. Through games and fascinating discussions children will get introduced to the current exhibitions at the art centre and will also get to know what contemporary art is. During programme sessions youngsters will be offered tours of the exhibitions, followed by creative master classes and educational games.
On Thursday, June 12, at 16:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites kids to the first “Imaginarium” session entitled “Welcome to Belgian Congo”, where they will learn history of Belgium and Congo, and will find out what links these two geographically distant countries.
The event will be hosted by the PinchukArtCentre’s guides Lora Ischenko and Ania Honchar who will meet children on the 2nd floor at the information desk.
Participation is free of charge. Advance registration is compulsory. The group size is limited to 15 participants.
