Theme Tour “Replicating the image of “catastrophe”: are there limits of tolerance?”
On Wednesday, June 25, at 19:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites to the theme tour entitled “Replicating the image of “catastrophe”: are there limits of tolerance?” where participants will learn how an art object can help solving the critical mood in society and help achieve de-dramatization.
The event starts at 19:00 on the 2nd floor of the art centre, reception area. The tour will be guided by the PinchukArtCentre’s guide Valeria Karpan.
“Imaginarium” educational programme for 8-10 year olds
On Thursday, June 26, at 16:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites 8-10 year olds to the “Imaginarium” session entitled “Collect Art”, where they will learn about techniques and types of contemporary art.
The event will be hosted by the PinchukArtCentre’s guides Lora Ischenko and Anna Honchar.
Participation is free of charge. Advance registration is compulsory. The group size is limited to 15 participants.

Educational game “Art Detectives” for 9-10 year olds
On Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 15:00 the PinchukArtCentre will hold another round of “Art Detectives” under the topic of “Materials – what are they? Detective’s Lab.” Young event participants will learn about artistic materials and their evolution.
The event will take place on the 5th floor of the art centre in the Educational room and will be hosted by the PinchukArtCentre’s guides Anna Honchar and Lora Ischenko.
Participation is free. Advanced registration is obligatory. Group size is limited to 15 participants.

Family Sundays – Art and Education class for children aged 7 through 9
On Sunday, June 29, at 12:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites children aged 7 to 9 years to a Family Sunday class on The World through the eyes of an artist, during which children will become familiar with the concept of "image" and learn how artists in their works build "new reality." Artworks of Gregory Crewdson, Thomas Ruff, Andreas Gursky and Artem Volokitin which are presented within the exhibitions "Collection Platform 4: Emotions and technology" and "Fear and Hope" will be at the centre of attention during the event. To consolidate the knowledge children will create a dimentioanl composition "Magic Boat".
The event starts at 12:00 on the 5th floor of the art centre, in the Educational Room and will be hosted by the PinchukArtCentre’s guide Olga Shyshlova and artist Kateryna Vronska.
Meanwhile, parents can join one of the regular exhibition tours led by qualified PinchukArtCentre guides.
Maximum number of children in the group is 20. Registration is mandatory.

Theme Tour “Forget, remember or invent ...?”
On Sunday, June 29, at 19:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites to invites to the theme tour entitled “Forget, remember or invent ...?” where participants will consider the phenomenon of social and cultural memory and its effect on subjects of contemporary art. Having reviewed the work of Nikita Kadan, Jan Fabre, Boris Mikhailov, Mark Quinn and Alevtina Kakhidze visitors will see how artists work with controversial themes of the history and the present: from the museum conservation to invention of their own reality.
The event starts at 19:00 on the 2nd floor of the art centre, reception area. The tour will be guided by the PinchukArtCentre’s guide Valeria Lazarenko.
Theme tours can be arranged on request for schools and universities.
