Starting from September 6, 2014, the PinchukArtCentre invites 9-10 year-olds to to participate in a new edition of the educational program “Art Detectives”. This entertaining educational detective game has been developed by the PinchukArtCentre team with a view to introduce young art centre visitors and their parents to the world of contemporary art, its famous representatives, works and ideas. Participation is free.
The educational art game that is taken home after the sessions in the art centre fosters closer ties between family members, it encourages parents to search for answers together with children, promoting mutual understanding between different generations.
The game will consist of five rounds, which will help participants to better understand what museum is and how it operates, what art is and the diversity of it, and they also will learn about famous art crimes. During the game rounds children will be holding art investigations full of fascinating exhibition tours, informative lectures and home tasks for the whole family.
On Saturday, September 6, at 14:30 the PinchukArtCentre will hold the first round of “Art Detectives”. The event participants will learn about the concept of a museum as an institution, its history and organization system. The event will take place on the 5th floor of the art center in the Educational room.
