As part of the public programme accompanying the exhibition Without Asking Permission, we invite you to join “Introduction to Performance Art”, a workshop led by artist and performer Piotr Armianovski, on Saturday, July 11, at 2:00 PM.

The exhibition Without Asking Permission brings together works by Ukrainian artists created between the two revolutions—from 2004 to 2014—in which the body emerges as a tool of self-determination, protest, and political expression. This makes an introduction to performance art a natural extension of the conversations initiated by the exhibition.

How can we understand performance art? The best way is not only to hear about it, but to experience it firsthand. During the workshop, Piotr Armianovski will introduce participants to the history and key characteristics of performance art before leading a series of simple exercises focused on interaction, attention, concentration, and presence. Through these activities, participants will gain a first-hand understanding of the fundamental principles of performance.

The workshop will take place in the Education Room on the 5th floor of PinchukArtCentre.

Recommended age: 16+
Participation is free with prior registration. Places are limited.
