Biography
September 8, 1964

Born in Odessa into the family of artist Oleksandr Anufriyev and art critic and artist Margarita Zharkova.

1982 - 1983

For the first time, I participated in the APTART exhibition project in Moscow at Nikita Alekseev's apartment, and in Odessa, in the home gallery of my mother Margarita.

1983

For the first time, I participated in the international exhibition "Come Tomorrow Yesterday — Be the First" (curator — Margarita Tupitsin) (Newark, New Jersey, USA). After the exhibition, the artist's works were immediately purchased for Norton Dodge's private collection (USA).

1985

Moved to Moscow.

1986-1987

Together with Sven Tundlak, he created the "Avant-Gardists Club" (KLAVA) and became its first chairman. He also participated in the activities of Sergey Kuryokhin's "Pop Mechanics" and Andriy Monastyrsky's musical collective "Srednerusskaya Vozvyshennost", where Anufriev took on the role of master of ceremonies.

1987

Together with Yuriy Leiderman and Pavlo Pepershtein, he founded the "Inspection 'Medical Hermeneutics'" (Senior Inspector).

1989

Became a member of the International Federation of Artists (IFA).

early 1990s

Worked at the Kyiv squat "Paris Commune" ("Parkomuna"), participated in the groups "Cloud Commission" and "Tartu Society."

 

1994

Together with Pavlo Peppershtein, he taught at the Städelschule Academy in Frankfurt, wrote the book "Artificial Ideologies." For the next two years, he lived and worked in Cologne (Germany). Anufriev also taught at the Academy of Arts in Hamburg and the Academy of Arts Umeå in Sweden. During this time, the "Medical Hermeneutics Inspection" received a studio in Cologne for two years.

1998

Founded the "Kosa" society in Odessa.

1998 - 2000

After the death of his mother, he lived in Odessa. He participates in the activities of the association "New Art" and in the creation of the literary school "Odekadance." He was a co-editor of the samizdat "PLY!", a counter-art magazine. Member of the group "Otdelenie."

1999

For the first time, the novel "Mythogenic Love Cast," co-written with Pavlo Peppershtein, has been published.

2001

Worked as an art director of the Gelman gallery in Kyiv.

2002

Worked as an art director at the Gelman Gallery in Moscow.

2003

For some time he lived in Saint Petersburg. Together with Hermes Zaigott and Sergey Afrika (Bugaev) he created the "Orchestra of Unknown Instruments" — "ONI". Then he returned to Moscow again.

2005 - 2006

Worked as a production designer on the film «РВЫ».

2009 - 2010

The artist moved to Odessa with his family, formulates the main principles of "patternism" and writes a series of theoretical articles about contemporary Ukrainian art in the magazine Art Ukraine.
