Lecture-Workshop “Creative Writing: Synthesising Joy”
How do you convey joy through language and writing? And can you actually feel it, hear it, catch it by its scent?
On Friday, May 29 at 6:30 PM, we invite you to the lecture-workshop “Creative Writing: Synthesising Joy” as part of the public program of the “Joy” exhibition. Together with writer Mariia Tytarenko, we will explore the emotional potential of storytelling — and put it into practice right away.
At the event, you can expect:
- synthesising joy through word-writing, sound-writing, colour-writing, and movement-writing
- diving into synaesthesia: how joy sounds, looks, and feels to the touch
- extracting joy from olfactory — scent-based — memory
- experiments with various creative writing techniques
- therapy through words and shared joys
No writing experience required — all you need is a desire to play with language. Language of the event – Ukrainian.
The event will take place on the 3rd floor of PinchukArtCentre. Admission is free, with prior registration required.
Lecturer: Mariia Tytarenko — writer, journalist, media researcher, member of Ukrainian PEN, founder of the Master’s Programme in Media Communications at UCU (2012).
