Alina Sokolova

Born in Uzhgorod in 1995. Lives and works in Vienna and Uzhgorod. Uses such media as art, photography, video and performance. Studied at the Uzhgorod art college, the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. In 2015, she started studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Prof Martin Guttmann’s class of art and photography. Her selected personal and group projects include “Heracleumfall”, Michaela Stock, Vienna (2019), “Smugglers choreography/painterly trauma”, Semperdepot Lehargasse, Vienna (2018), “The monument of Danube” project in public space as part of the photography month, Belgrade (2018), “Trust me with your import”, “Sorry, no rooms available” art residence, Uzhgorod, Ukraine (2017).
