The PinchukArtCentre (Kyiv, Ukraine) presents the group exhibition of the Patron Artists of the Future Generation Art Prize: Andreas Gursky, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami. The show is embedded into the context of the third edition of the Future Generation Art Prize, the first global art prize for artists up to 35 founded by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, presenting in Kyiv newly made works of 21 shortlisted artists for the Prize in 2014.
The exhibition of the Patron Artists is a part of the Future Generation Art Prize and emphasizes the unwavering commitment of all four patrons in supporting of a young generation of artists.
The exhibition on the second floor of the PinchukArtCentre brings together seven works including Takashi Murakami’s Miss Ko2 – Nurse, 2004 and Jeff Koons’ Secretary of Defense, 1985. Among other works are series of photographs Kathedrale I, 2007; Pyongyang V, 2007 and Stateville, Illinois, 2002 by Andreas Gursky, and installations The History of Pain, 1999 as well as And the Lord God Made Them All, 2005-2006 by Damien Hirst.
In 2010 and 2012 the exhibitions of Takashi Murakami and Damien Hirst were coinciding with the first and second editions of the Future Generation Art Prize.
The exhibition of the four Patron Artists of the Prize will be open from November 25, 2014 till January 4, 2015 in the PinchukArtCentre, Kyiv, Ukraine.
