An Instinctive Eye: A Selection of Contemporary Photographs from the Sir Elton John Collection
16 June 2007 - 12 August 2007

The exhibition was presented for the first time in Europe. From the moment of its foundation in 1991, Elton John’s collection of photographs had been exhibited only once, in the High Museum of Art (Atlanta, Georgia, USA).

The exposition consisted of 148 pieces of art by 24 contemporary photographers, selected by Elton John and his partner, David Furnish. The list of artists, whose works were presented in the PinchukArtCentre, included David LaChapelle, Nan Goldin, Zhang Huan, Sam Taylor Wood, Rineka Dijkstra, Loretta Lux, Ruud Van Empel, Hiroshi Sugimoto and others.

17 June 2017 - 7 January 2018

The PinchukArtCentre is proud to present “Fragile State” - a major international group exhibition with 10 leading artists including Marina Abramovic, Jan Fabre, Urs Fischer, Douglas Gordon, Damien Hirst, Carlos Motta, Oscar Murillo, Santiago Sierra, Barthelemy Toguo and Ai Weiwei.

27 October 2017 - 7 January 2018

The exhibition explores the period of anomie that Ukrainian society was plunged into after the collapse of the Soviet Union (1991), and that it languishes in to this day. The term “anomie,” coined by the French sociologist Émile Durkheim, describes a crisis-ridden transition period societies land in after political turmoil and changes in values when “the old gods are aging or are already dead, and others are not yet born.”

PAC-UA presents the 6th project - a solo exhibition by Anna Zvyagintseva. “Misplaced Touches” is based on the idea of a trail, a trace, unconsciously following somebody else’s path, and paths that emerge from our imperceptible touches. In her works, the artist often makes manifest imperceptible, impalpable facets of our lives, showcasing their fragility and documenting elusive intangible moments.
