PinchukArtCentre to host RUTARUNA project: Ukrainian and Sweden young contemporary artists’ collaboration

17 June 2013

From June 17, 2013, the PinchukArtCentre will host the RUTARUNA project. The programme gives the young Ukrainian and Sweden artists possibility to implement theoretical and practical cross-investigations in the critical and creative contexts of both countries. A platform for theoretical work includes meeting with experts, discussions, presentations, thematic meetings, excursions, outdoor researches etc. In their free time, the artists are also expected to work in the city in smaller groups.

The program is oriented to support creative experiments in the urban landscape and also to form and demonstrate an independent opinion in a group discourse. Supporting the project the PinchukArtCentre serves as an open platform aiming to help young talented artists to use their intellectual and creative resources and expand their knowledge thanks to the exchange of experiences and research processes applied in both countries.

The RUTARUNA project was initiated by educational actor, cultural innovator Ulf Stålhandske (Sweden) and artist, educational actor Tetyana Goryushina. This project is financed by the Swedish institute and supported by the PinchukArtCentre.
