From February 15, the PinchukArtCentre invites young contemporary art lovers aged 11-12 years to join new edition of the Walking-Talking, an educational course that envisages special guided tours of the exhibitions intended to deepen the understanding of contemporary art.
Based on experience from the previous edition, from now on the program will incorporate two groups: free-attendance group and in-depth study group, where the format of the latter requires regular class attendance by all its members and offers a more thorough and systematic study of contemporary art basics. The free-attendance group is best suited for those children who cannot attend classes regularly.
On Saturday, Februart 15, at 14:00 there will be the first session for the in-depth study group on the topic of “Optics of seeing.” During the session children will become familiar with video work of Pierre Huyghe “The host and the cloud” and mosaics of Jan Fabre that are made of millions of jewel beetle wing cases. Using the newly gained knowledge, children try to analyze how emotions affect the perception of art.
The event will start at 14:00 in the reception area on the 2nd floor of the art centre and will be hosted by culture expert Liudmyla Bulanova-Duvalko.
Maximum number of children in the group is 10. Registration is mandatory. To register in advance and receive additional information, please use the contact information below:
