On Sunday, February 16, at 14:00 the PinchukArtCentre invites children aged 4 to 6 years to a Family Sunday class Materials. During the session kids will learn about basic forms of art, about typical and unusual materials that are used to create art.
Through the example of the sweets installation of Felix Gonzalez-Torres and mosaics of Jan Fabre created of the millions of jewel beetles wing cases, children learn about the possibilities of using unusual materials in art. After that, children will turn into sculptors creating their own beetle in mixed media, and receive a special homework – they will have to tell their parents about all they have learned during the session.
The event starts at 14:00 on the 6th floor in the SkyArtCafe’s video-lounge and will be hosted by artist Kateryna Vronska and the PinchukArtCentre’s guide Olga Shyshlova.
Meanwhile, parents can join one of the regular exhibition tours led by qualified PinchukArtCentre guides.
Maximum number of children in the group is 20. Registration is mandatory.
