PinchukArtCentre invites teachers of Ukrainian schools to participate in the educational program Understanding the Museum for Teachers which was specially developed by the art centre specialists. The program is intended to encourage teachers to study art by exploring museum practices, to promote art lectures and workshops in schools, and to promote cooperation between art institutions and schools. The project will help to examine and explore intellectual, emotional and physical powers of contemporary art through the exhibitions presented at the PinchukArtCentre

On Friday, November 9, 2012, voting for the winner of the Future Generation Art Prize 2012 People’s Choice Prize has begun. Images of works by all Prize nominees are published on the PinchukArtCentre website, where visitors can cast their votes for one of 21 young artists. Later on the video profiles of the nominees will also be available. According to the Prize regulations, a person can give one vote to one of the nominees only

For Two Weeks One Summer show embedded into the context of the second edition of the Future Generation Art Prize, Hirst presents a series of eleven dynamic new paintings he has been working on since summer of 2010. The PinchukArtCentre opens applications for Understanding the Museum – a new educational programme developed by the art centre specialists for teens aged 14 to 16. This special course introduces young participants to the practices of contemporary art in the context of a professional institution. The second edition of Understanding the Museum will last from November 17 to mid-December, 2012. Participation is free of charge
